What an outdoor LED poster is
An outdoor LED poster is a modular LED screen in a self-standing cabinet about two metres tall, built for street-level advertising and signage. This model, the P2.5, ships in a 96 x 192 cm die-cast aluminium cabinet: 4,500-5,000 nits that stay readable against direct sun, rain, water and dust resistance to IP65 with strong UV resistance, and a -40°C to +80°C working range. The cabinet is built from 320 x 160 mm modules, so a local fault is fixed by swapping one module on site For indoor installation, with no exposure to rain or sun, there is a separate model: Standing Indoor LED Poster 1.8/2.5 mm with IP30 rating.
4,500-5,000 nits · rain, water and dust resistant (IP65) · UV resistant · -40°C to +80°C · 7,680Hz refresh · 384 x 768 px

When an outdoor LED poster is the right choice
- Outdoor advertising that must be seen from a distance and in strong sun, at 4,500-5,000 nits.
- Large display area: cabinets butt together with no bezel, creating a continuous video wall.
- Filming: a 7,680Hz refresh keeps the screen free of banding on camera or phone.
- Field service: a 320 x 160 mm module is swapped instead of the entire screen.
- Harsh conditions: rain, dust, sun and salt air — IP65 and UV resistance, continuous operation from -40°C to +80°C.

Where the outdoor LED poster is used
- Shop fronts and retail centres, replacing a printed sign that is reprinted every season.
- Petrol station forecourts and drive-throughs: changing content, readable from a distance in daylight.
- Entrances to malls, hotels and stadiums.
- Municipal and institutional signage: notices, events and wayfinding.
- Events and rental: a standalone unit that moves between sites.

What you display on it
Content reaches the screen through the MRV412-N receiving card over HUB75, so it runs a managed playlist: offers that rotate by hour, a menu or price list, service notices, an event countdown, weather and video. Colour depth is ≥14 bit and colour temperature is adjustable across 6,000-12,000K, so the display can be tuned to the shop front and to the time of day. Brightness is adjustable too, which lets you dim it at night to save power and to respect light-nuisance limits in residential areas.
Installation, delivery and site requirements
The cabinet weighs 60 kg single-sided, so installation requires anchoring to a structure or a cast foundation rather than mounting on a plasterboard wall. The site needs an AC 110V-220V supply with proper earthing and a stable network or WiFi connection for content delivery. Average power draw is ≤280W/m² with a ≤850W/m² peak, which sets the size of the electrical feed.
Warranty and support
Manufacturer hardware warranty with remote technical support and replacement modules held in stock. The warranty can be extended by a further year through the warranty extension product in the store.
Frequently asked questions
From what distance does the image look sharp?
The pixel pitch is 2.5 mm, so full sharpness is reached from roughly 2.5-3 m and beyond. That is the normal viewing distance for outdoor advertising, a shop front or a mall entrance.
Is the poster water and rain resistant?
Yes. The cabinet and modules are rated IP65: fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so rain, splashing and hose-down cleaning are not a problem, alongside UV resistance and a -40°C to +80°C working range. IP65 is not an immersion rating, so the cabinet should not be installed where it could be submerged.
Can several units be joined together?
Yes. The cabinets are designed to butt together into a continuous display area with no bezel between them.
Is a double-sided version available?
Yes, the cabinet supports single-sided and double-sided builds as well as custom sizes. Double-sided and custom sizes are priced by separate quote.
How much power does an outdoor LED poster draw?
Average draw is up to 280W/m² with an 850W/m² peak, on an AC 110V-220V feed. For a 1.84 m² cabinet that is roughly 515W on average.
