Guide to Updating Ticker Text Messages

This guide will help you update the ticker text bar at the bottom of the screen (or anywhere else in the design), and add greetings, system notices, and customer messages.

Step 1: Log In to the System

Step 2: Select the App (If Needed)

  • If you have one app: You will be taken directly to the next screen.
  • If you have multiple apps: First select the app (screen) where you want to update the messages.

Step 3: Open the “Content” Tab

To access the editor:

  • In the top menu of the app, click the “Content” tab.
  • Locate the “Text Messages” card and click the “Edit Content” button on it.

Step 4: Message List Screen

A “Message Sequence” window will open displaying all the texts currently running.

  • To add a new message, click the black “+ Add Item” button in the top-left corner.

Step 5: Manage and Order Messages

Each row in the list has quick management tools on the right side:

  • Edit: Click the pencil icon to change existing text.
  • Duplicate: Click the two pages icon to create a copy of a message.
  • Delete: Click the red trash can icon to remove a message.
  • Reorder: Drag the three lines icon (left of the number) up or down to change the display order.

Step 6: Write the Message

In the editing window that opens:

  • Type: Make sure “Text Line” is selected (this is the default for regular messages).
  • Text: In this field, type the message you want to display (for example: “Welcome! Our deals have been updated…”).

Step 7: Scheduling (Optional)

If you want the message to appear only at specific times:

  • Click the plus (+) button under the “Schedule Rules” heading.
  • Set the dates and times for the message to appear and click “Save”.

Step 8: Save and Return to the Main Screen

  • Finished writing the message? Click “Save” (the black button at the bottom of the editing window).
  • Back on the messages list? Click “Close” at the bottom of the screen.
  • Now, on the main “Content” screen, click Save as Draft to make sure all changes are saved in the system before testing.

Step 9: Preview Check

Before sending the message to the screen, you must verify that it displays correctly and has no spelling errors:

  • On the “Content” screen, locate the “Text Messages” tile.
  • Click the arrow icon in the top-right corner of the tile (a square with an outgoing arrow icon).
  • In the window that opens, verify that the ticker text looks good and is readable.

Step 10: Publish to Screen

Preview passed successfully?

Click the Publish button at the top of the screen to broadcast the new messages to the screens.

That’s it – the message is live!
