Step 3: Select the App (If Needed)
If you have a single app: the content screen will open automatically.
If you have multiple apps: first choose the app (screen) where you want to update the content.
Step 4: Update the Link in the System
In the editor interface, navigate to the relevant page (for example: ds-messages) and locate the video component (Component: Video).
In the field under the Video URL heading, paste the link you copied from YouTube.
Click the black ADD button next to the link.
Step 5: Save Your Changes (Without Broadcasting)
Before previewing or broadcasting, save the update in the system: click Save as Draft to store the changes as a draft, without yet sending them to the in-store screen.
Step 6: Check the Preview
Now that your changes are saved, verify that the video plays correctly:
This action will open a preview of the digital bulletin board.
Step 7: Publish to the Screen
Does the preview look good? Is the video playing properly?
Click Publish to broadcast the final changes to your digital screen.
⚠️ Troubleshooting Common Issues:
If the video doesn’t play in the preview (Step 6) or on the screen itself (black screen or error), it means you chose a video protected by copyright or a video where the embed option (Embed) is blocked. In that case, choose another video from YouTube and repeat the process.
